ZANZIBAR & BEACH HOLIDAY

PACKAGES IN ZANZIBAR
JOZANI FOREST TOUR


This wetland forest is the only one remaining intact on the island. About 45 minutes drive from city center, it is home to the surviving members of theRed Colobus monkeys (procolobus kirkii), a very rare species and only. found in Zanzibar .Into the forest is a delight, with a swamp in the middleand small streams flowing into the ocean. There is mangrove forest, alive show visitors to small colonies of these cute primates. The park is bestvisited before 10 am. or after 4 pm.

STONE TOWN TOUR

This is a guided historical tour to the old town of Zanzibar, fondly known as Stone Town. The tour is covered mainly on foot, providing the Guests the opportunity to stroll through the narrow alleys, carved balconies, old post office.



. The central market, built in 1904, a bustling place where fish, fruits,vegetable and spices are sold.
. The Anglican cathedral, (1873) built on the site of the former slave market.
. The nation museum opened in 1925
. Tippu Tip House, residence of a famous slave trader. House of wonders (1883)
. Palace museum, formerly residence of the Sultan.
. Maruhubi palace ruins. Built between 1880 - 2 and accidentally burnt down 1889

DOLPHIN TRIP
Transfer leaves at 07h45 to Kizimkazi Dimbani South West of the island the journey take one hour. The clients embark on motor boat to dolphin conservation areas, where they sight and can swim very near to the dolphins.Life jackets and snorkeling gears are included, after one and half hours they go to sand bank at sea where seafood BBQ is served under a temporaryshelter.


After lunch you can continue snorkeling in the coral areas, or have a try at line fishing. Departure from Kizimkazi is in the late afternoon to arrive back to their hotel at about 19.00


SPICE TOUR

A trip to the lush green gardens of innumerable species of spices and tropical fruits trees. Many of these spices have medicinal properties and are still used by the local purpose to cure certain maladies , taste avariety of fruits ranging from the rose apple to the guava. savour different spices in their aromatic state , cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, black pepper,you name it!!
You get to see rare plant used for their value in preparing cosmetics:henna, lipstick tree, perfume trees etc. the ruins of the Kidichi Persian baths are also visited en route.



PRISON ISLAND


Well known as Changuu Island, is an island situated west of Zanzibar, about 20 minutes ride by motorboat. It measures about a half a mile long an eight wide. Slave owners formerly use it as a private detention for disobedient slaves. It was then bought by Gen. Matthews who constructed a jail on it, hence the name prison Island, but prison was never put into use. It still stands derelict. Off this Island, clients can swim and snorkel, and walk around to see the giant tortoises. Lunch can be arranged on the island
